Teen Ink Photo Contests Gets Teens Snapping for Cash

Teens do plenty of things besides get into mischief. In the case of readers of Teen Ink, they are busy entering the publication's monthly art and photography contests. Every month
Teen Ink selects one teenager for praise for his/her outstanding artwork and/or photography. Monthly contest winners receive a copy of the magazine featuring their artwork (it's never too early to start thinking about that professional portfolio), as well as a Teen Ink pad and pen. Gift certificates are also awarded that can be redeemed for a host of Teen Ink merchandise and apparel items.
Teen Ink is doing much to foster the creativity of its teen readers by sponsoring these contests. There are no entry deadlines, and qualifying work is accepted throughout the year. The winning entries, both artwork and photos, are published in Teen Ink Magazine, as well as on their website each month.
The contest is only open to teens and the judges will only consider original artwork and photography entries. These can be of any type; i.e., original drawings and paintings, as well as black and white, or color photographs. The contest will accept photocopies or even high quality photographs of original artwork, including watercolor paintings, sculpture, oil paintings, collage, computer graphics and much more.
Teen Ink also sponsors a variety of other contests open to its teen readers, and these include a monthly writing contest.
