Review of Online Basic Photography Course

If you are a total newbie who has just gotten her first camera, how on earth do you go about learning how to use it? You could head over to the local community college and take a course, but who except the really committed has the time for that, let alone the money? You could also read your camera's manual and try to make sense of its various features, but again, who has the time to wade through all that technical mumbo jumbo.
Well, another option for learning a bit about the art and science of photography, and how to use your camera and all its features would be to head over to
BigIrishGit.com where you can take a free beginners course.
This course is really for the beginner! It starts with the basics, and a rundown of the various types of cameras. Subject chapters deal with the topics of film, light, shutter speeds and how to select the best one, how to set the best aperture, and selecting the best lens for different types of photos. The course also provides information about the best type of equipment options the newbie might want to consider.
I found the course relatively easy to work through. True, it's not on the level of your local community college where you would get lots of hands-on experience under the direction of an instructor, but this course does a pretty good job providing a comprehensive overview of the subject of basic photography.
