Renowned National Geographic Photographer offers Workshops at Sea
Monday, April 21, 2008 @ 06:36
From May 11 to 24th, photographers of various experience levels will have an unprecedented opportunity to get invaluable tips and coaching from long-time freelance photographer Bob Krist aboard the National Geographic Endeavor as she explores the windswept shores of Scotland, Ireland and England.
Bob will host this sailing and will offer hands-on classes onboard the Explorer. Coupled with photography tours at the various port stops offered during the voyage. National Geographic has long been known for their stunning photographic content, and who better to offer these types of sailings than that venerable publication?
The Explorer is nothing like a standard cruise ship since it carries far fewer passengers and is much smaller than a "mega ship" carrying thousands. This small size makes the vessel ideal for getting into ports that the bigger ships can't access. The smaller passenger count also means that there is plenty of individual attention, both by the staff and crew of the vessel, as well as by the instructional staff in the onboard photography workshops offered throughout the sailing.
In addition to this sailing in May, Bob is putting together his teaching schedule for 2009, which will surely include other sailings to even more exotic locales.
Bob Krist is a freelance photographer who works regularly on assignment for National Geographic publications. His work has also appeared in Smithsonian and Islands Magazine as well. His assignments have taken him to all seven continents, making him the ideal host for an exploration of this type.
